Junior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP)

 

LOCATION:

Remote - Contract  (Jacksonville, FL)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our firm is looking to expand its team by hiring a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer for commercial buildings design, including Office spaces, Single and Multi-family Residential, Hospitality and more within the building field. This role will provide opportunities to get involved in a broad spectrum of designs such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC), plumbing designs and energy optimization, as well as prepare schedules and construction details, ultimately helping to prepare complete plan sets. This will include performing load calculations, verifying code compliance, sizing and selecting equipment as well as laying out and sizing piping and ductwork. Other related tasks within the practice may be asked of the individual. Office and site visits WILL be necessary occasionally. REMOTE WORK DESCRIPTION:

As this position is fully remote the selected individual will be expected to perform the duties of designing and drafting using Revit and AutoCAD from a home office located within a maximum of 3Hr drive from Jacksonville, FL. Daily or Weekly scheduled meetings will be held remotely via platforms such as “Microsoft Teams” where plans will be discussed, and screen sharing will be expected. An individual will be available via email, text, phone call or “Teams” during working hours. Our office will serve, as it does for all our employees, as a “check in, check out” hub as well as a space for trainings, collaborative teamwork, and client meetings. Office and site visits WILL be necessary occasionally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field required

- 1 year of experience is required

- 3 + years of experience in the field plus

- AutoCAD proficient

- Revit experience is a plus

- Mechanical & Plumbing drafting and design experience required

- Electrical drafting and design required

- EIT (or exams taken) required

- Remote work experience is a plus

- Driver’s license required

- US work authorization required

CEI Inspector

LOCATION:

Jacksonville, FL

DESCRIPTION:

  • Daily inspection of roadway, bridge and/or other related structure projects

  • Complete daily reports of construction and other job related paperwork

  • Project documentation (Uploading Daily Reports and Photos into appropriate job storage file locations)

  • Perform and/or verify results of earthwork, concrete and asphalt testing and inspection data

  • Reading and comprehension of construction plans, specifications and shop drawings to ensure projects are completed in general compliance with contract documents.

  • Obtain and maintain Continuing Education (CTQP Certifications, FDOT Certifications, etc.). Also ensure all certifications (and expiration dates) are accurately recorded in company CTQP Matrix.

  • Scheduling - Maintaining open lines of communication with your team, management and the construction personnel (Superintendents, Foreman, Project Managers, etc.)

  • Maintain valid Florida driver’s license

DESCRIPTION:
